Checking if you are on a Blacklist

First you should check your email settings to rule out the possibility that something else is wrong. Pleaseexamine the appropriate document below to ensure your settings are correct:

If you have checked your settings and everything is correct, then you may have a virus and/or be listed on a distributed blacklist.

Checking Spamcop.net:

1.) go to http://www.myipaddress.com

2.) that site tells you what your ip address is, write it down.

3.) go to http://www.spamcop.net/bl.shtml and type the number that you
obtained in step #2 into the box right below "Am I listed? ..." and then
click the "Numeric IP address" button.

4.)This will tell you if you are listed on spamcop or not; if you are
then you need to check your computer for viruses and request to be
removed from the list. If you aren't, then there is a separate problem
with your e-mail that needs further troubleshooting.

Checking spamhaus.org:

1.) go to http://www.myipaddress.com

2.) that site tells you what your ip address is, write it down.

3.) go to http://www.spamhaus.org/lookup.lasso and type the number that you obtained in step #2 into the box that says "SBL XBL Lookup IP Address" and then click on the "Lookup IP" button next to the box.

4.)This will tell you if you are listed on spamhaus or not, if you are then you need to check your computer for viruses and request to be removed from the list. If you aren't, then there is a separate problem with your e-mail that needs further troubleshooting.

Checking dsbl.org:

1.) go to http://www.myipaddress.com

2.) that site tells you what your ip address is, write it down.

3.) go to http://dsbl.org/listing and type the number that you obtained in step #2 into the box then click "Check Listing"

4.)This will tell you if you are listed on dsbl or not, if you are then you need to check your computer for viruses and request to be removed from the list (http://dsbl.org/removalquery). If you aren't, then there is a separate problem with your e-mail that needs further troubleshooting.

The only thing that you can do about being listed is request to be removed from the list, you must direct this request to whatever list you are on, there is nothing that Internet Connection can do about this.

Before you request to be removed it is imperative that you have updated virus software, otherwise you could end up back on the list.
