1. What is a domain name?

A domain name is a word or group of characters associated with an IP (Internet Protocol) number that provides an easier way for people to remember a web site's location on the Internet. Basically, it's a unique address on the web that exists to help other people (including potential customers) find you easily.

2. How much does it cost to register a domain name?

When you register a .com, .net, or .org domain dame with ICDomainNames.com, your fee is an incredibly low $20 per year. Other top-level domain names (.co.uk .cc, .cx, .nu etc.) have slightly different registration fees.

3. What is the longest term I can register a domain name for?

With our extended registration service, you can register your domain name for up to 10 years.

4. How do I register a domain name?

The simplest way to register your domain name is through ICDomainNames.com. First you should look to see if the domain name you want is available. Our Regular Lookup function of our Global Lookup Tool can do this. After you've found the domain name you want, go ahead and fill out the registration form and we'll take care of the rest.

5. I'm having a hard time finding a domain name, are there any services I may use?

Internet Connection has a domain name services site that offers many useful tools for people having a hard time finding a domain name. Of the domain name tools you'll find on ICDomainNames.com, the Domain Name Generator and Global Lookup Tool are perhaps the most useful when first registering a domain. The DNG uses your input to generate a list of available domain names and the Global Lookup will let you know what domain name extensions are available for your query.

6. Can Internet Connection host my domain name even if it's not a .com, .net or .org?

Internet Connection can host domain names with any extension. We currently host sites with extensions including .nu, .to, .co.uk and many more.

7. I don't have a credit card, can I still take advantage of your low pricing?

In order to be able to offer the low $20/year registration fee we need to have the registration fee paid when the domain is registered. If you have a credit card this is easy, if not you can contact us to make other arrangements.

8. What does "parking" a Domain Name mean?

"Parking" a domain name simply means that you are reserving it for your use but not actually activating it.

9. Are there any other Domain Name extensions besides .com, .net and .org?

Yes, there are close to 300 TLDs (Top Level Domains) currently and the number continues to increase. Most of these domain names can only be registered by persons or organizations residing within that country, but some have an open registration policy. Registration fees for these domain names vary greatly and we are currently compiling information so that we may give you full details on each top-level domain name.

10. I already have a domain name, how do I transfer it to Internet Connection?

Transferring your domain name to Internet Connection is very simple and quite painless. Simply fill out the domain name transfer form and we'll take care of the rest!

11. After I register my domain name with you, how do I modify it (i.e. change phone numbers etc.)?

If you need to modify any of your contact infomation or any other information regarding your domain name you should use this web-based control panel.
