Guestbook

The Guestbook script works as a virtual "guestbook". That is, visitors to your site can access the guestbook and leavegreetings, comments about your website or anything else that they'd like to write. This popular package, adds a friendly touch to any web-site and is an excellent way to gather email addresses for later use in an email list.

 

Setting up the Guestbook

After installation, simply post a link to the Guestbook in your WebPages using a standard HTML hyperlink. For example, if you installed a guestbook to the directory http://YourDomainName.com/guestbook/ you would add the following text code to your html file:

Configuration Options

You can edit the standard guestbook index.html file, which is located in the guestbook directory, to better suit the look and feel of your site.

Also, all of the guestbook entries are stored in the index.html file. If you wish to delete an inappropriate message, you can directly edit the index.html file.

Things to Remember

Read your guestbook regularly. The messages posted by your users can provide a valuable insight into how much people enjoy your web-site.

Should a guestboook fail to work properly, we recommend that you delete and re-install the guestbook from the netConsole.
