Search

This local Search utility is a powerful tool for webmasters. If you have a site with a large amount of text information on it, you'll find this an invaluable package for helping users to navigate your site easier.

The Search script scans all of the web pages on your site and, using a program, creates a new, temporary web page that lists the all of the web-pages in your site that contain a word matching the word entered by the user in the Search utility. After installation, simply post a link to the Cookie in your webpage using a standard HTML hyperlink.

Setting up the Search Utility

For example, if you installed a search utility to the directory http://YourDomainName.com/search/ you would add the following text code to your html file:

Configuration Options

You can edit the standard search index.html file, which is located in the search directory, to better suit the look and feel of your site.

Things to Remember

Should the Search utility fail to work properly, we recommend that you delete and re-install it from your netConsole.
