home  NETCONSOLE  : overview

netConsole

netConsole, the control panel that comes with your website hosting account, provides you with a powerful web-based interface for administering various features of your account. Because of differences between the two server platforms we offer, Linux and Windows® 2000, there are two different versions of the netConsole.

Customers using our Windows 2000 servers have what we unofficially refer to as a "lite" version of the netConsole with only three sections:

Windows 2000 customers access their netConsole using this URL: http://mail.YOUR-DOMAIN-NAME/

Customers using Linux-based servers have a total of six sections available to them:

Unix customers access their netConsole using this URL: http://www.YOUR-DOMAIN-NAME/netconsole

After pointing your browser to the appropriate URL, you'll then be prompted for a username and password. This username and password is your main site username and password, the same combination that allows you to access your site via FTP, SSH, telnet, FrontPage, etc.

Your netConsole can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection.

Inside Your netConsole

The netConsole is broken into different sections. As mentioned above, depending on what server platform you chose for your account, you may have either three or five sections available to you.
