Uploading an Existing FrontPage®-based Web
Once you've created your site in FrontPage® the next step is to upload
it to your server. FrontPage® has a built-in utility called the Web Publishing
Wizard which handles this.
Note: We recommend that you do not employ the use of an FTP client to upload
your site. The FrontPage® server extensions can become corrupted if your
site is uploaded with anything but the Web Publishing Wizard.
To publish your FrontPage®-based web simply follow these directions:
- Open your copy of Microsoft® FrontPage®.
- Go to the File menu and choose "Publish Web". You'll then see a screen
similar to his one:

In the box labeled "Specify the location to publish your web to:" type
in either your domain name or your IP address.
- Next, you'll be asked for your username and password. This information
is case sensitive and FrontPage® will not allow you to access your account
if you have made an error.

- After successfully entering your username and password FrontPage®
will begin uploading your files. During this time you will see a progress
dialog box and finally a small box letting you know that your web was published
successfully.
