HTTP Response Codes
HTTP, which stands for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol, is the language spoken
between clients and servers. A client could be a web browser, an FTP program
etc. A server is a computer that provides some kind of service to client programs
running on other computers.
Many people's first experience with an HTTP response code comes in the form
of a 404 error. This response, if you look on the list below, is the response
sent from the server when a client-requested document can not be found.
